FCC guidelines require specific and detailed information when completing a port request:

1. You must provide the most recent copy of your billing statement from the losing carrier.

2. You must provide a signed Letter of Authorization (LOA). The LOA is a signed document showing that you are authorizing LANgineers to port your numbers into our network. You may download the LOA and print it from the link below.

3. If the current carrier is someone other than AT&T or Verizon, it is helpful but not required if you provide Spectrum with a copy of your CSR (customer service record) whenever one is available. You may request a copy of your CSR from the losing provider. If you cannot obtain a CSR from your previous provider, you may also request your previous provider to send a letter on company letterhead that lists your account number, billing telephone number, and service location address.

The following information must be listed on the Bill Copy and LOA to verify your customer and account information:
– Number(s) you are requesting to port
– Name of Authorized Signer
– Address: Both billing and service addresses

*If your address is a PO Box, please provide LANgineers with an additional physical location address where the number resides. If there are additional numbers on your account with the losing provider other than the number to be ported, after the port is complete you must contact your previous provider’s porting department and tell them whether you intend to retire those numbers when canceling service.

Once you have obtained and signed all the required documents to complete the port request you can simply scan them and email them to support@langineers.com, or you may fax them to (650) 692-2110. Please be sure to include a cover sheet that includes your business name and contact information for proper processing.

LANgineers will then submit your LOA to your previous provider and wait for approval to port your number. You will be notified by LANgineers via email if your previous provider requires additional information and/or corrections to your LOA.

Generally, inbound porting requests will be completed within ten (10) business days after LANgineers receives the required documents. Please be advised that some service providers intentionally move very slowly and can take up to thirty (30) days to honor and complete a port request.

If you have not received response regarding your LOA within fourteen (14) business days or you have any questions regarding our Number Porting Policy, please contact Technical Support via email at support@langineers.com.
